We're excited to announce that we are in the fine-tuning stages of creating a new multitrack live audio recording service. More details are coming soon, of course, but our eventual goal is to make awesome, affordable live CD's and DVD's for local & regional bands.
For now, here are a couple "proof of concept" videos we did in collaboration with Rico Roman Productions:
Lots of new projects have been flowing through the Signaturetone creation station in the past few months! First off, congrats to Lost In Prague, Torch The Spires, and Orwell on the great discs we helped them create, go forth and spread that goodness around. Next, I've tossed a few new musical selections up on our player for your listening pleasure. Will Anderson and Subdivider gave me a chance to bust out my more pop oriented mixing game, and I'm pleased with the results - they're right here!
September's looking like a crazy month, I'll be working on discs for The New Monarchs (electronic rock), The Regenerators (straight up rock), The Mayfly Rooks (folk/gypsy/Americana), a compilation for Profane Records of a bunch of local punk rockers, the almighty Guzzlemug (defies description, melts minds), and a live record for The Drug Budget (massive carnival freak show rock). Whew - I just needed to write that all out so I could look at it. I'm either in trouble or Minneapolis music is about to get a big injection of awesome!
Just because we've been hard at work on this spiffy new website, doesn't mean we haven't had time to work on some killer new tracks! Check out this little number by local post-hardcore/rock band "Lost In Prague":
Produced/Engineered/Mixed by Steve Henningsgard, and Mastered by Adam Tucker. Neato? Yessir!
The new SignaturetoneRecording.com is live and on the air. While neither Tucker or myself profess to be web designers, we worked pretty hard on this thing and are stoked on the new design overall. We have a lot of ideas for how to improve the functionality, and certainly welcome your insights or suggestions for improvement.
If you haven't stopped by the studio in a while, you might notice some of the changes we've made to our live room! We're digging the sound & look of our new audio-diffusing "mega-sconces"; they really seem to open the room up, and the super-sexy lighting sets a pretty cool ambiance by itself.
Be aware: I, Steve Henningsgard, have hacked into the Signaturetone mainframe, and will be broadcasting my pirate signal from deep within. Some very fun, potentially epic things will be happening at the studio/bat cave very soon. I will be posting updates related to these things right here, isn't that neat?
